Do you have questions about other religions?
Join us beginning Sunday, January 19th at 6:00PM for a study of Christianity and World Religions. This 6-week, video-based study is written by best-selling author Adam Hamilton and urges us to build bridges with others so that we might grow in our faith, seek peace in our world and love our neighbors. Adam helps us consider some of questions that many Christians have, such as: Why are there so many different religions? How should Christians view other religions? How is God at work in other religions? What is the fate of those who earnestly pursue God through other religions? During our time together we will look at Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Islam and Christianity. The videos will enable us to hear from leaders of each religion in order that we may accurately understand and respect other faiths.
The sessions will be led by Retired Christian Educator, Lorraine Macpherson. There will be a zoom option available for those who are unable to attend in person. Please email to sign up for the study or if you have questions: office@wcumc.us
A study Guide is available for those who would like to study and reflect on the material prior to or following each session. Christianity and World Religions: Questions We Ask About Other Faiths by: Adam Hamilton is available from: Amazon, Cokesbury and Christian Books.
