Adult Studies

Christian Formation for Adults

This fall, the Christian Education Committee is offering two studies to the adults of our church. We hope that they speak to you and that you will join us and share in our continued journey in faith.

Five Marks of a Methodist- The Fruits of a Living Faith

by Magery R. deVega with Steve Harper

What does it mean to be a Methodist? I was not raised in the Methodist faith and my faith journey has brought me here. I know we like our hymns and of course our
committees but what are the essential qualities of the United Methodist character? This study explores the five marks as laid out by John Wesley. Each Sunday we will explore one of these marks and the barriers that prevent us from living each of them.

The group will meet for six Sundays from 9:15-10:30am in the Library. 10/16, 10/23, 10/30, 11/6, 11/13, 11/20.

Grace- More than we Deserve, Greater Than We Imagine

by Max Lucado

What is Grace? We hear it in sermons, sing about in hymns and we all believe in it, but what is it? Do we really understand it? This 7 week study explores the idea of God’s Grace and what it means for us, how it changes us.
The group will meet on Tuesdays 7:00pm (Fellowship) 7:30-8:30pm (Study) in the Youth Lounge 9/13,9/20,9/27,10/11,10/18,10/25,11/8.
